Part of the $500m Capetronic Group with $240m European sales. My achievements included the turnaround to profit of the European operation after a period of under performance, and to increase sales by 70% during my two years with the firm. The turnaround was due to improved logistics and scheduling and improved contractual arrangements.

The division was a £30m t/o part of the Thorn EMI rental sector. It achieved the best profit performance versus budget and best versus previous year within the thirteen-division Thorn EMI rental sector during my two years.

Jan 85 - Jun 88 - Sea Containers Limited

Director of the Trafpak Group responsible for both finance and logistics.

My achievements were to return the company to profit after 8 years of losses and to grow the business threefold to $24m PA. This was achieved largely due to improved control and specifically control of demurrage and route pricing.

Jan 87 - Nov 85 - WCF Limited

Accountant controlling the trading and retail businesses within this £185m group.

Jan 82 - Dec 83 - Shell PDC

This division was a $10billion part of Shell.

I was responsible for reforming contract and administration policy and procedures, supporting treasury and commitments forecasting and control, and specifying user requirements for Shell's reporting systems.
